Okay, I am back. I know it has been a while. I will try to do better. I have exciting news though, I have a job! Hooray! I am an Apple Store specialist. I know, you're impressed and a little jealous.
In other news I have a new hobby as well. In classic little sister form I am once again copying Rachel. I have taken up sewing. For my first project I knew I needed a deadline to work towards so I made the kids outfits for Connie's birthday party this weekend. The appliques need a lot of help and the hem on Cordelia's skirt is wonky and uneven but for my first shot I feel pretty good. So here they are:
I made the pants and sewed the C to the shirt
I made the skirt and sewed the C to the shirt.
Note the coordinating prints.
This is the best shot I got of them together. I think I need to make Cordelia some bloomers. Of course she was supposed to have on black leggings, but did I remember to pack them?
They really loved that balloon.
On another front Calvin just woke up from a night mare saying that he didn't want me to buckle his seatbelt. Even in his sleep he is stubborn.
OH MY GOODNESS!! Both outfits turned out so cute, but I have to say Cordelia's skirt is my absolute favorite! I love how you did the bias tape around the hem! You did an amazing job, and please do not say you are copying me, because that is just not true! Lots of people make clothes for their kids; I am no original. I am so excited for your new job! You are definitely a super-mom!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. You did a great job and they look so cute in their matching outfits. I love the pic of Calvin hugging Cordelia. Such sweet sibs. His hair cut is so cute. Good job Connie!
