Sorry It Has Been So Long

Well it has been a while, I apologize. Life has been a little crazy. Let me share with you some of the things that I have learned. The best way to give a two year old medicine is to mix it with mountain dew. Calvin came down with a fever last night and absolutely refused to take his tylenol. He even forced himself to vomit when we tried to force him to take it, so we mixed it with mountain dew. He didn't take it all but it was enough. The second thing I learned is that the best way to get the smell of vomit out of your couch is vinegar, not febreeze. Enough said. Which brings me to another fabulous use for vinegar: Getting the yellow stains from the tumeric in the indian food you spilled all over the kitchen floor out. You will also need CLR, baking soda and bleach. Just be sure all the CLR is up before you had bleach. Watch out for that chlorine gas. Really it is just better not to spill your pot of Chicken Korma all over the kitchen. Especially try not to get it in your eye, because that is really going to hurt. Anyway these first pictures are at Chili's. We needed a night out so we headed to Chili's. Calvin requested a restaurant with chips and salsa and I love everything they have so it seemed like a good option. Calvin climbed out of the car and looked up and said, "Oh, a banana restaurant." I guess he thought the red chili pepper on the sign looked like a banana, what a smarty pants.
Here is cordelia enjoying a lemon at Chili's. Note the lack of funny face. She loves it.
Calvin had chocolate milk, who's surprised?
Here is Daddy all ready for his first day of school. Cordelia absolutely loses it every time he leaves the house with out her, so he made sure to say good-bye.
So handsome! The journey begins!
Here are Calvin and Cordelia enjoying a snack of Froot Loops.
So Good!
We went to the annual Westminster picnic tonight. This was shortly after throwing Chicken Korma all over myself so I took some pics of myself to see what I looked like. They turned out cute so I am sharing them.

Here is Cordelia at the picnic. The kids had a blast playing with the other kids. I didn't get many pictures because I was talking but here are a few.

Another interesting tidbit from the evening. We were in line for food with one of Jordan's professors. Calvin wasn't paying attention to what he was doing and while we all talking he wandered over to the guy. He proceeded to lean on the professor's leg and put his hand up on the man's, well his crotch. We were all talking away and all of the sudden the guy was like "oh hey buddy, what are you doing?" He totally laughed it off and Calvin didn't even realize what he had done. What can I say? We make an impression.
Alright Video time:

Most of you are probably familiar with the Katy Perry song "I Kissed A Girl"; Well Gigi taught Calvin his own version.
That was I kissed a squirrel if you didn't catch it. Gig teaches the best things :)

  1. Cordelia is the cutest little puff ball I've ever seen. I wanna squeeze her cheeks right off! I am so excited we'll get to be there for her birthday party! Sorry about your tumeric and vomit mess...if it makes you feel better Cooper broke a lamp, tipped over an end table and walked on top of the kitchen table while we had people over tonight. So...that was awesome. Heart palpitations were had by all, I'm sure.
