Well it's that time again!
1. Calvin can buckle his own seatbelt now in his carseat. This newfound ability makes loading the kids into the car so much easier. He is so proud of himself too. He always wants a high five after he finishes.
2. Wives of Westminster: a club for the wives of westminster students. Club makes us sound so exclusive, we aren't. It has been wonderful to get to know some of the other moms and wives around here. We also have a rotating nursery schedule during wednesday chapels. Calvin and Cordelia love to go play with the other kids and I get a break.
3. Public Parks! What a great american past time. or something like that. I love to take the kids to the park and I love that it is free and they love it too as demonstrated in my previous post.
4. Our new church. We only had to go to one church to find one we love and we have instantly gained a new family. It is such a blessing to have a great church with great preaching and great people.
5. Too much stuff. I have been overwhelmed as of late with the sheer volume of clothes and toys we possess and the lack of space to store it all. On this, favorite things Friday, I choose instead to be thankful that we have been blessed so much to have so many nice things.
6. Ally! Happy 20th Birthday (yesterday) to my fabulous sister in love Ally! Ally is such a warm and funny person, I always have so much fun with her. And she helps me stay cool and hip to what the kids are into. Not only did I get a great man, I got a great family with him.
7. Cell Phones. Ahh what a beautiful invention, to call the ones I love wherever I am for a low monthly rate. I love that I can talk to my mom everyday; she is such an encouragement to me. I just love talking on the phone, so call me !
8. I have been struck this week by the certainty of God's promises. He will never leave us nor forsake us. He will provide for us. He will do all things for our good and His glory. These are glorious promises to remember when I can't sleep at night.
9. My GPS! I don't think I could survive in the big city without it, or rather the suburb of the big city that we live in. I am finally beginning to go out without using it every time. But it has been a life saver more than once for me.
10. Cordelia is sleeping in her own bed!!! For those of you who were unaware Cordelia has been sleeping with us on and off, mostly on, since birth. This week I finally gave her the boot. The transition hasn't been seamless but the crying jags only last about 5 minutes and the neighbors aren't bothered a bit. She has gone one night without waking up but then last night she did again. What a wonderful feeling to roll over in bad or adjust the blanket without having to check where she is.
On another note, I forgot to add this video to the last post, so I will put it here. Cordelia is growing up too fast!
Happy Friday Everyone, Have a great weekend!
