New Clothes!

Mimi sent some new clothes and Cordelia wanted to model them for you.

Our Morning

This is Calvin watching youtube on the ipad. Not a new sight, I know but I have posted this to tell you all about Calvin's new favorite youtube videos. There are two videos from the Betty Crocker Kitchen and howdini.com The first one is how to make ice cream cone cupcakes and the second is how to make a guitar cake. Fascinating stuff right. He loves them. He even told me earlier that he can't walk around eating his cracker because he will crumb coat the floor. He doesn't miss a thing.

Which brings me to our other new favorite, Up. We watch it at least twice a day and Calvin quotes lines from it to me all the time. He even wants to buy a helmet and goggles. Cordelia likes it too.

At snack time Calvin announced that he wanted cookies but we didn't have any so we decided to make some. He told me he wanted black chocolate chip cookies so I translated that as chocolate chocolate chip. He was really excited to add salt.

He would turn on the mixer for me and then run to the other room becuase it was loud and scared him.

We started of scooping with a scoop and quickly moved to our hands, holy buckets did we make a mess.

Don't worry, Calvin helped me clean up.

Cordelia was sleeping this whole time. Here she is right after she woke up. Note the bruise day two, and the stick up hair.

Calvin is napping now and Cordelia is playing their nap schedules are off. She will go down for her afternoon nap about the time he gets up. I need to re-coordinate things.

The Party From Calvin's Perspective

I can't translate all of this but I know he had a great time. He talked non stop from the time we left until he went to bed.

Ice Cream Party

Tonight was the new student ice cream party at Westminster. But before we get to that Calvin wanted to show you how he wears headphones like Pop Pop.

We made sure to put Cordelia in her squeaky shoes. I figured they would be a great ice breaker with new people and would help me keep track of her. They were definitely a hit.Here they are! Calvin was so excited to go have ice cream at Daddy's new school. We went to a pizza party there last week so he really wanted there to be pizza. Sorry buddy.

After finishing his ice cream Calvin spent the rest of the evening doing somersaults. He also followed some older boys around for a while. He had a blast.

Cordelia had fun too, until she fell and cracked her head on a chair. She has a huge bump and a nice bruise to go with it. Poor Cordelia.

We had a lot of fun at the party. Jordan's registration and orientation are tomorrow and he is super excited. I think the highlight of the night was that one of Jordan's favorite authors, who teaches at the school, remembered us from our campus visit three years ago. Yeah, we're that cool!

Well we thought the new student ice cream social was tonight. We had been psyching Calvin up for it all day and everyone was really excited when we realized just as we were about to leave that it is tomorrow. Now for anyone who knows Calvin you know that you can't promise ice cream and not deliver so we decided to head over to Rita's.

Now for those who are not familiar Rits's is a chain specializing in water ice or slushies they also serve a cross between soft serve and custard. It's pretty fabulous.

When we go shopping and have a lot to carry I sometimes ask Calvin to walk Cordelia across the parking lot. I asked him to do it tonight just so I could snap a picture. They are pretty much BFF. Calvin asked to go the "ice cream sop" again as soon as we got in the car. Don't worry, we'll be back soon.

Showing Violet Some Love

Cordelia loves her toy dog Violet. She loves to dance to her music which mostly consists of bouncing. I have been trying to get it on video, here is my best shot. And not to be outdone, Calvin can jump.

Chase Me!

Cordelia absolutely loves for Calvin to chase her up and down the hallway. This is the best video I have captured so far. I can't figure out how to rotate these videos, if anyone knows please clue me in.

Squeak Shoes

Mimi sent Cordelia some squeaky shoes and she loves them. She takes twice as many steps when she has them on just to hear the squeaks and gets excited when she sees them. Thanks Mim! And yes the apartment is a wreck. Calvin loves to dump out every single toy, we are working on learning to put away toys before getting out more.

Car Rides

One of Cordelia's favorite toys at the moment is Lightening McQueen. She hasn't quite figured out how to move it across the floor but she loves to sit and bounce on it.

And She really loves for Calvin to push her around on it. He pushes her backwards.

And forwards.

She even loves to climb on it.

Calvin can do it too, don't worry.

Don't ask me why his face is all messy; I can't remember.

First Post!

Well as I am sure you can see, I am starting a blog. I have been thinking about doing this for a while and I decided that today is the day. One of my favorite things to do everyday is read my sister, Rachel's blog. I love to see what her family is up to. I decided it would be fun to do that for all of you. Also I take pictures and videos from time to time that have my house in the background. I don't want them on facebook but I want the people close to me to see them. A blog is the perfect way to do that! So here goes...
