A Day At the Zoo

Fun in iMovie

I have been learning about iMovie lately at work, so I thought I'd put my knowledge to use. Shot with my iPhone, edited in iMovie '11.

Philadelphia Zoo

So exactly one week after we went to the Aquarium we headed to the zoo, which was awesome. The Philadelphia Zoo is enormous and they have a ton of animals. The kids loved it and we bought a membership so we will definitely will be back soon. Calvin's theme of the day was good or bad. With each animal he wanted to know if it was good or bad and why. This theme has continued the past few weeks. It is exhausting to try to explain why a hippo is bad but not the ones at the zoo. He has finally settled on some are good and some are bad. So here we are at the zoo...

This turtle was just chilling by the glass. Calvin went right up to it but Cordelia took one look and started screaming. That was her theme for the day. One of the monkeys came right up to the glass to check her out and she flipped out again. Basically she wanted to look at the animals but she didn't want them to look at her.

As always running and jumping were the order of the day.

Of course we couldn't resist the electronics.

They really loved the prairie dogs.

And the carousel or as Cordelia calls it, the "weeee"

Clearly this was pre haircut.

Who cares about random peacocks when there's chocolate milk around?

We found more statues to sit on.

Calvin loved the petting area.

This is the closest Cordelia got to touching an animal. She was terrified.

She cheered up at the duck pond.

He was really bummed that he couldn't climb on this one.

We ended the day with the best snack ever, M&Ms. We were there for over 8 hours and didn't see everything. Best zoo ever!
